Violence extracts a sobering toll on the health and well-being of vulnerable populations; including women, children and the elderly.

Rural families face the same drug, alcohol, poverty and stress problems as families who reside in cities--but rural communities typically have fewer resources.  Therefore, sharing available resources across a broad geographic area is very important.
