FAMILY ADVOCACY NETWORK (FAN)

Services

Ensure all abuse victims, no matter where they live, receive the same, comprehensive, coordinated services.

Advocacy

Provide support to children and their families throughout investigation, prosecution and healing following a traumatic event.

Support

Empowering families in our communities by providing caregivers with support and resources. Our goal is to help them effectively support their children and navigate challenges related to abuse and trauma.

Safety

Provide a safe and supportive environment for children who have gone through abuse or trauma.

The Family Advocacy Network (FAN) is a nationally accredited child advocacy center serving 14 central Nebraska counties. FAN provides a comprehensive, victim-focused program that provides a coordinated response utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach to child abuse and adult sexual assault investigations.

As a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and an accredited member of the National Children's Alliance, FAN assists in the coordination of county child abuse investigation teams, identifying system issues, encouraging case review and arranging for or providing requested training for professionals.

FAN provides forensic interviews, medical examinations and referral sources for adults and children who experience:

Child physical and sexual abuse
Domestic violence
Sexual assault
Neglected or abused vulnerable adults
