Objectives
- To offer centralized access to a unified system of services for abuse victims.
- To coordinate top-notch, dependable, prompt, and consistent psychosocial background and assessment interviews along with forensic medical examinations.
- To enhance the coordination of activities aimed at preventing, identifying, treating, and prosecuting cases of abuse.

FAN works to support and strengthen families through education and direct services in order to break the cycle of abusive behaviors. FAN has implemented a regional structure, which enhances the response of community and health professionals, who assist those who have been abused. FAN also provides awareness and educational resources throughout West-Central Nebraska to achieve its goal.
Across the country, advocates for abused children have created child advocacy centers. In our communities, while we recognize that the majority of the individuals served will be children, there is a definite focus on serving vulnerable populations of all ages.
